Pre-trip checklist: what to check before you fly
Documents, money, connectivity and small things that are better checked at home than at the airport.

Most problems at the start of a holiday don’t happen at the resort but at home or at the airport. This list will help you not to forget anything.
Documents
- Passport. Check the expiry date: many countries require your passport to be valid for several months after your return date. Check the exact rule for your destination.
- A visa or entry permit, if required for your citizenship.
- Documents for children, if a child is travelling with one parent or other adults; check the requirements in advance.
- Booking confirmation, tickets, insurance and TurKod: save them on your phone and print them if you can.
Money
- Let your bank know about the trip if this is needed to use your card abroad.
- Take some cash in a currency accepted at your destination.
- Check which costs aren’t included in the tour: tourist tax, excursions, extra meals.
Connectivity
- Check roaming with your mobile operator or buy a local SIM card on arrival.
- Save the WhatsApp numbers of the tour operator, your guide and your manager.
On departure day
- Check the departure time the day before, as flights are sometimes rescheduled.
- Get to the airport early: for international flights it is usually advised to arrive 2.5–3 hours before departure.
- Check the baggage and hand luggage allowance on your ticket.
- Liquids in hand luggage go in small containers; keep medicines with you.
If something goes wrong
Keep your manager’s contacts: we stay in touch until departure and will tell you what to do. Haven’t chosen a tour yet? Leave a request and we’ll send three options for your budget.
